Gums appear to be red in color, tender and puffy and bleeds easily during brushing when gingivitis occur.

When gingivitis is left untreated it can progress to periodontitis in which gum infection can spread below the gumline affecting the tissues and the bones that supports the teeth resulting to eventual loss of tooth and can trigger the occurrence of certain medical conditions.

Bleeding and swollen gums are the most common dental condition when gum disease or gum infection take place. Persistent bad breath, receding gums, sensitivity and tooth loose are the other conditions that an individual can experience when gum infection invades the dental health.
